ABC Music Store & Academy is dedicated to providing you with exceptional musical instruments and music lessons. Whether you are starting music lessons, continuing music lessons, renting a musical instrument, buying musical instruments, buying sheet music or supplies, we are here to help.


We supply top quality musical instruments for school band programs and maintain a great selection of acoustic guitars, electric guitars, drum kits, violins, and pianos. All of our musical instruments are available for sale or rent-to-own.


Our music stores are conveniently located at 739 First Street in Benicia, California and at 2156 First Street in Downtown Livermore, California. Each music store has over 2000 square feet of floor space that includes seven private music instruction studios and one large group music studio.


ABC's Faculty includes 31 experienced professional musicians who are active in national and international performance. In addition, over a dozen of our music teachers are credentialed with PhD, Masters, or BA Degrees. All of our music teachers have been teaching music professionally for over 10 years.


We offer full in-house repair services for most musical instruments and provide classes on care and maintenance.

TESTIMONIAL: ABC Music is much more than a music store. It is a haven to the area musicians with strong ties to the community and local schools. The employees of ABC are all accomplished musicians in their own right who can help with hardware selections, repairs and special orders. Whether one is rookie or a regular, you will be treated with dignity, respect and encouragement as a fellow musician and a friend. Every musician, both budding and full-blown, will find what they need at the store or they will special order it. This is the place to go for parents who are just stepping into the school band scene through the local elementary school programs; ABC Music gives back to the community in the form of churning the money gathered from instrument rentals straight back into the afterschool band program at the elementary schools as they recognized that students were missing music in their lives as budget cuts slashed this program from the school curriculum. Music lessons are also provided through the store in the classrooms for small group and private lessons which helps students who become bitten by the music bug. ~ S. Ackerman
